what a difference an O-ring makes - part 2

So we replaced the O ring, fired up the stove, had water boiling in t minutes and an Indian dish in 10. After cocoa by a friendly fire, the bounce has returned to the pony's gait. I bet we'll hit PA tomorrow-especially since the word on the trail is that there's pizza there.

this is a true test of spirit - which is what drove you to the Trail

Two intellectuals perhaps seeking a physical/spiritual cleansing

soon you will gather your wind, the blisters will turn into callouses and you will find the spiritual uplift that you seek

it doesn't come free but the price is worth paying

tallyho!

Never underestimate the power of warm food and cold beverages for you two! ;) I don't think we'll ever forget the power of a tootsie roll (plus the rumors of a bagel and cream chese) that night in the Grand Canyon!

Two 'outward bound' type winter camping trips in maine, with a select group of incorrigible youths from the HS where i taught, was enough to keep me from multiple-day adventures on the trail for years... sounds exciting, though. and when you can - perhaps be glad its not january and you don't have 6 whinny and unhelpful teenagers under your care :) take care. Glad to hear things are looking up. Just dropped in to say I read your last Prospect yesterday, BG -- a great read! You will be sorely missed, not least in that slot.
